Why Pet Quenchers?
We came up with the idea for Pet Quenchers several years ago when my husband and I were traveling to Kearney, Nebraska with our border collie, Lizzie. After stopping at a convenience store to buy a bottle of water for her, I told my husband, “It would be great if a person could go in and buy a ready-to-go bowl of water for a dog or cat while traveling, instead of carrying a drinking bowl and buying water bottles along the way.” We discussed how difficult it is to keep the water bowl clean, dry and sanitized while on the go, plus we always had to throw out the extra water that she did not drink. We thought that it would be so much more convenient to have a disposable (and recyclable) water bowl that would make traveling easier. Three years later, we started seriously pursuing the idea of manufacturing safe, convenient, portable drinking water for pets, and founded Allen Ranch Products, LLC. in May 2007.
Lizzie, our inspiration for Pet Quenchers, unfortunately passed away far too young and did not live to see our product come to fruition. Her legacy lives on, however, as she continues to be the reason why we created Pet Quenchers.
